The Takeaway Project

In 2019 Gallery Oldham worked with a group of young people to explore the history of food in Oldham, especially the takeaways! The group explored the role of takeaways in social inclusion and movement of people, from historic beginnings of being the first recorded place of Fish and Chips to the new trends of dessert shops.
